How did preparations for Christmas look like in Masovian countryside? What prohibitions and commandments did apply during Advent? What important Christmas customs and rituals did obtain at the turn of the 20th century? How have the interiors of peasants’ rooms changed? And what dishes did use to appear on Christmas Eve’s tables?
We would like to invite you to take part in on-line lessons “Christmas in Mazovia region” which will be available since 6th December!
Target group – age 7-14
Duration – 45 minutes
The lessons take place from Tuesday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. They are available for organised groups like also individuals (e.g. a family). The lesson consists of a lecture combined with a visual presentation and a worksheet with a Christmas decoration to make. Registration is available since 1st December.
In order to take part in a lesson, reservation must be made at least 3 days before the lesson’s date. It can be reserved by e-mail rezerwacje@mwm.skansen.pl. Payment must be made not later than 2 days before the lesson’s date by transfer to the Museum’s bank account 92 1020 1026 0000 1602 0233 2898 with the following transfer title: zajęcia on-line Boże Narodzenie na Mazowszu. After the payment, the Group coordinator/ Participant will receive instruction and a link to the meeting on Zoom-Video and a worksheet in a pdf version. The group coordinator is obliged to convey the link and worksheet only to the participants.
